Client v1.45????

Just logged DAOC n found that one of my accounts was downloading a 8.4MB patch with login client v1.45, while the other remains at v1.43 n didnt need the patch.

Any1 here got the same problem??

Mine patched ok, but when I try logging in, it tells me my account name or password are incorrect. Strange that, cos they worked fine last night!

Client login version is different than game version fyi.

same - both my accounts tell me name and/or password incorrect

wots the score goa? im just home from work and wanna play ffs

ok, as per original post, i have daoc on 2 computers running 2 seperate accounts -

1 computer downloaded patch ( 8 odd mb ) to v1.45 and then refused access to either account

other computer didnt and remained at v1.43 and i have access to both accounts

must be a fu @ goa i guess - gonna re-install the patched copy and hope for the best

Let us know how it goes, having only recently reinstalled, I really don't wanna do it again if it's not gonna help.

Found the fix for the feared Mythic patch curse: as i had 2 DAOC folders in differnets directories. I simply deleted the bugged folder. And created a copy of the "good" one in another directory. Voila! Problem fixed.

But its is since i had 2 copies of DAOC folder. If i would had got only 1, well, think i would have gone mad.

Congratulations all, you've been patched to the US servers.
They use login client 1.45 and if you happen to get rerouted there you'll download a 8.4 MB patch.
After this patching you won't be able to play because obviously your EU password won't work on the American servers.
The solution: open the update.dat file in the main directory, remove its contents and replace it with:

Mythic Patch
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

Problem solved.

LOL....or reinstall like I did before reading this post. Oh well, at least we know why it happened now!
