Very strange, just installed the game on my parents computer (home for christmas). Now the installation went fine, but when I click the .EXE file nothing happends, nothing at all! No update box, no mythic logo, no nothing.. I have rebooted the comp, I have reinstalled the game several times, I am installing on an administrator account.

specs:
winXP
p4 1700ghz
geforce 2mx400, 64mb
30.87 drivers
directx 8.1 (came with xp)

have that here sometimes too, what I do is ctrl-alt-delete, processes, and kill the camelot.exe and game.dll process. That should fix it, if not, I have no idea what happend :)

hm, I just tried fooling around alittle, and I found that I couldnt copy the file Sum.exe to my harddrive (the copy freezes, my cd keeps reading and reading). So maybe there is something wrong with my cd?

How large is camelot.exe supposed to be? 102kb (unpatched)?

I had this exact problem when I bought the game. Rightnow were not helpful, I found the solution myself but I did suggest they posted this in their FAQ.

I had my CD drive mapped Z:

Simply map the CD to any other drive letter. In NT it's drive manager, in XP it's computer management -disk management, in Win9x use device manager to locate the cd rom. Worked for me.

Good luck

haha, I also had my drive mapped to Z: and changing it to Y: instead made it work! Thanks a million, now I can go to the df hunt tonight :p

don't worry abou that file copying for now as it's likely they put rogue files on the disk to stop people copying the CD. just a guess tho.

Moved this and merged just so it'll be easier to find if anyone else should have the same problem in the future.
