It's not a rumour, it's a fact. Nice build? Uhm, you'll end up being a cool rejuv/buffer, as smite will suck; personally I'll either quit outright or concentrate on a workable class when that crap comes here

In the coming patches scouts will be nerfed down so much that it isnt funny. Basically Mythic get too many complaints from the other realms, saying that albs have it easy. Clerics and scouts just so happen to be the two most played classes in albion so Mythic decide to nerf them to make the ugly troll and tree-loving elves happy.

Since when did you see a doctor running round with an AK47 spraying bullets in between patchin up the wounded.

Just means that Clerics will be healers like the middie healers .. but you will still have more dmg out put than our poor healers.

Just think its funny all those ppl that picked a healer cause it was basically a caster in chain are suddenly suprised they are nerf'd

In Healer you have mids main Healer class AND cc class. In Cleric you have albs main healer class with some good damage spells and some limited cc. Clerics aren't the best nuke class in albion, but healers ARE the best cc in mid. So healers excel at 2 fields, where clerics only excel in one.

Mezz is king is the game at the moment, so maybe healers are more uber (not on their own, but with a group) in rvr than clerics? Perhaps

There is no perhaps One healer can turn the tide for a Mid force; one cleric isn't very likely to do taht (Unless it's me; I'm such an inspiring leader )

Anyway, playing as a cleric, I found I turned small engagements by healing rather than smiting. It's much more effective to be honest. I wish the newer players wouldn't be brought up with the "can't heal in RvR" notion, its such a lot of rubbish.

Smiting is king in 1 on 1 encounters, mezz, stun, smite smite death etc. Every other person you add it becomes less impressive, so *shrug*. They complained and got a nerf cos they lost in duels? Who knows.

Anyway, to new clerics - Healhealheal from time to time in RvR, you'll be amazed.

More seriously, I can only agree that in the current version healers, while not being as good a class as clerics if counting only RPs are a lot more powerful in large-scale fights and merely at least just as powerful in small encounter. We just aren't powerful alone
But, on the other hand, CC is nerfed a lot more already (1 minute timers) and in future patches (resists & realm abilities) so we're certainly not better off...

And as well as a 1 minute mezz brought down to 15 secs with high spirit resist and Determination can alter the course of a battle I'm quite sure the new 43 spec smite will still be viable.

As for the 5 minute timer on the PBAE mezz, well, I'm level 41, I have single-target instamezz on a 10 minute timer which I got one level ago (lowest healer insta is at pac 28 while first pbae mezz is at smite 3). Wanna swap? I'd love to. Then we can get rid of that overpowered instant ranged AE mezz while we're at it.

Admittedly heals don't do as much for an encounter as CC but it's far from impossible to keep people alive a lot longer with healing. With the rejuv boost in 1.51 I almost wish I hadn't deleted my cleric. Well, not really, but it might have been more fun playing her then. At least I'd like my 240 dex back, my casting times suck

That's prolly cos you are partially blocking bolts. The damage of the 2 is miles apart.

Greater Holy Fury 225 D (Best possibly damage on smite)

Flame Spear 332 D (Best possibly wizzie bolt damage)

Which means our smite caps out at 675, and their bolt at 996 Not to mention the fact that the bolt actually has some range, faster cast time etc

Of course it could've been a no Fire wizzie, who would only have access to a baseline bolt, but who knows

Actually healers are the only cc class in mid... Also cleric buffs are way better than healer ones. And yes healers are uber now in pve since they can debuff the mob stun it and generally play in a way that they could land as less heals as possible reducing downtime something that i have found limiting to the cleric.
