Cleric/Friar's guide needed

hello all i have just created a new Cleric or Friar (a highlander due to the nice stats, placing 8 to STR, 8 to CON and 12 to pie)

I was wondering as I kind of rock with a weapon whether or not i should become a friar or not
what are your oppionions

if i was a cleric which line of spells should i specialise in....

Only britons can become friars, so your career path is kind of fixed

Just depends what kind of cleric you wanna be.. A cleric who buffs and heals very good which is very good for teams. Or a cleric who has smite very high and one of the other 2 skills to be someone who casts smite on enemies and is more a soloer (in my eyes). And don't worry about the RvR part you get your points anyway (joining some tanks or smite them yourself..)

Seriously though, I had alot of fun with mine, they hit very hard and look good doing it


Clerics are the safer choice at the moment and it's the easiest class to find a group with. The way you spec, depends on how you want to play:
- Do you solo ~ spec pure smite untill level x
- Do you group ~ spec rejuv and Enhanc (I'd probably start with Enhance)


That's all I can say for clerics, but there are plenty around. Type: /ad ingame and it'll bring up a list of advisors. There will be a cleric or two in the list who you can hassle about specs!


My Friar is parked at lv24, they're great fun to play, but from what I've read hard to keep going at higher levels.


p.s. The best class I've played so far is a Sorceress... I'll probably write up a guide on the weekend. The most fun I've had in Albion or Hibernia!

I have decided to play a Cleric (well not much choice as i could not be anything else )

and I think that I will start off doing a lot of smiting and then after lvl 7 put all points into the rejuvination line

Would have gone 10 str 10 const and 10 piety probably or maybe added dex or quick instead of piety cause there are enough items with + piety that it's capped nearly all the time but 2 late now.

44 Smite 21 Enh 23 Rej or 48 Smite 9 Enh 23 Rej are the most common ways to spec I think.
