This is just my opinion, but I would take Combat Jump and Super jump as travel and defence instead of flurry/superspeed.

CJ gives defence and SJ is great and fast travel.
Flurry is not really needed as you have so many attacks, and SS is tricky on maps with alot of obsticles like boomtown faultine and such.

Just some thoughts from me.

I'd say SJ and Fly are easily the best travel powers.

I really don't like fly its to slow, but I've only used it at L14, and I really like to move quick in battle and CJ give me that option and hover don't.

as a scrapper hover is a VERY bad idea, since you need to stay mobile...
if you really want flight (which is a lovely and relaxed travel power) get air superiority instead...

looking at your second template...why the hell would you want to take a powerpool attack? they're horrid compared to your own attacks...

edit: you might want to move your travel power a bit down. they're really VERY handy and you'll probably want it as soon as possible..

Boxing is a better power pool attack imo as it has a chance of procing a stun on the target, whereas kick you would never want to use because it has a knockback affect. I would also pick up stealth for +def in your template, taunt I can live without.

Personally I prefer spines to claws but it's all down to how you play ;)

my hover comment was a response to Tharion, not to your template.
as for taunt...as a scrapper you don't really want that, since agro will mostly kill you....

I'd be tempted to suggest having slash rather than swipe, same action time more damage (the number of attacks you have available should balance out the longer recharge time.

Also I might say you want integration, resistance to disorient et al becomes very important later on although i'm not sure what to suggest taking it over, moment of glory maybe, i've heard rumours that it isn't as great a power as it purports to be, though that's just from the whinge board so how true it it remains to be seen Oo, that and I don't know how much you want it :). I don't know how much resistance integration gives either, how helpful oO

There will be a respec mission (trial) in Terra Volta later on they are working on it so you should be ok.

Phew! :D Do you have any details about it? What is Terra Volta and do I need to be a certain level?

Terra Volta is a higher level hazard zone (18 or 20 I believe. not sure)

Edit: come on Captain...you can tell us...we won't laugh...I promise!

Terra Volta is a level 23 hazard zone. :)

How useful integration is depends if you group with empaths a lot or not. Empathy has clear mind which cures and gives resistance to disorient et al. :)

Still, having innate resistance mean you don't inconvenience the empath by having them stop healing or whatnot to clear the mind of some tart who didn't have any decent resist in the first place :p

Answer from the lead designer:

Statesman said:
I saw a couple of posts asking for an ETA on Respec (i.e. allowing you to "de-select" unwanted powers and re-select new ones). I didn't post on those threads because usually my responses get buried quickly and I wanted everyone to know about this.

As many already know from the Strategy guide, the respec option was previously tied to the Terra Volta Trial. That did not make it into release; as it is currently written in the Guide, it was only in the conceptual stage.

The Respec option will still be tied to this Trial - and we're working on it. I can't give you a definite ETA on it, except to say that it will be done in a few months and not in a year or more. The Respec as its written in the Strategy Guide will NOT be the final version. In fact, we're already working on the specifics. But until it's nailed down for sure, I don't want to say anything.

Thanks for making City of Heroes the success it is!

Ok, I'm a claws/regen scrapper, a few suggestions.

You need integration, as soon as possible! It povides an almost total resistance to being stunned, and is unique in that way to regen scrappers.

You probably want focus earlier, as it's a ranged knockdown attack, great for getting runners, or for taking down bosses (they can't hit you if they are on the floor!).

Don't consider moment of glory or revive, they are currently useless!

Also you may want hasten, as it doubles your damage output for a while, which helps in tough situations!

As I understand it, they work, but are not worth the bother as they're not very effective.
