Classical Vehicle Music

Oi!

Made some music for the vehicles, I had tried some other pack which was nice but really loud.

So I made one with classical music which I think is quite enjoyable :)

Can get the file here if ya like: http://www.simnet.is/amything/classical vehicle music.zip

Here is the readme:

Classical vehicle music sounds for Tribes 2, edited by Amything.

----
All the sounds are edited to go into a loop unnoticeably.

If you don't want too much music action I would still recommend the Transporter and Tank only :)

Installation:
Unpack into Tribes2 directory with directory structure enabled.

Uninstall:
Delete, rename or move: htransport_thrust.wav, tank_engine.wav, bomber_engine.wav, shrike_engine.wav, outrider_engine.wav, mpb_thrust.wav in Tribes2\GameData\base\AUDIO\fx\vehicles\

----
Music Credits:

SHRIKE
Prokofiev's Montagues And Capulets. Quite the classical punk. It makes you want to go faster and faster and even quite some faster than really fast!

BOMBER
Beethoven's Symphony No 5 in C Minor, Opus 67 - Allegro con Brio
I think this one was in Clockwork Orange, suspension music at its best.

TRANSPORTER
Tchaikovsky's Waltz (from the Nutcracker)
For a little 2001 feeling, it's quite surrealistic.

MOBILE POINT BASE
J.S. Bach's Air on the G string. This is a slow song for a little "Apocalypse Now" feeling (not that song though I think), also I didn't want it to be loud as sometimes one is defending near it and it is nicer to have some relaxing music rather than shit screaming in your ear, still very fitting.

TANK
Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue
Very fitting and gets you into that mortar mood in no time.

GRAV CYCLE
Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebees. For those tight turns and blazingly fast jumps the Flight of the Bumblebees gets you where you want to go... uhhh..even faster... :p

----
Other Credits:
...go to the guy who made a vehicle music pack I downloaded, don't know his name (sorry), but without it I probably wouldn't have thought of it :)

LOL! I've gotta say, classical music is probably the most apt for listening to when in a T2 vehicle. There's something alluring about riding around in a tank while listening to Rhapsody in Blue :D

I'm downloading this as I type.

ROFL

Nice1 m8, I have to say the perfect track for me when flying a transport in T2 has to be "Klendathu Drop" from the Starship Troopers soundtrack (worked nice in T1 as well) and the theme from the Eidos game "Project IGI" is good for shrikes.

The one you're looking for is Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries'. Dum dannah dah da, Dum dannah DAH dah, Dum dannah DAH DAH, dum dunnah DAH!

I love the smell of fusion mortars in the morning - smells like: victory
