You wont ever use engage as you need to switch in a shield.

Crush has an anytime 6 sec stun which doesnt need any switching of weapons etc.
If you want to run groups go slash for better anytime style.

Why would you go crush when the whole point in crush is the anytimer stun, which you get in shield there....?

Also, this spec would render Dual shadows useless, give you a bad behind style and a worse anytimer. Wyrd spec does ******NOT****** work as good on mercs as on Zekrs/bms since all level 50 styles are dependant on the base weapon spec. They also lack a good behind style in dw line.

For soloing crush would be nice vs stealthers. Would hurt vs anything with scale, but good vs rest of hibs and neutral vs mids. Slash would be bad vs most hib stealthers but very good vs mid ones. Thrust would be neutral/resistant vs most soloers(only chain users of mid that is weak to it).

As grp merc I went slash on classic preDR because there is no slow crush mainhand unless u're able to get one from Apoc. So 4.3 GSG sword + DS offhander > crafted 3.8 crusher + DS offhand for my opinion.
But with DR weapons crush is prefered for merc. For solo purpose i'd go crush nevertheless.

Engage is useful vs archers unless u have charge3 to break distance asap.
