Class spec

im making a friar on alb pryd and my friend is making an armsman.

the idea being we duo to 50.

do any of you guys have good spec for the friar. i wanna be a battle friar and prob go 7 rejuve for cure poison/disease.

50 staff
18 parry
38 enhance
7 rejuve

some people say not to go 50 staff but i was unsure as to why. i miss the final haste spell and end reduction spell but i can live without them. is this a good spec to use?

tbh it looks like imo a spec most ppl will use but maybe im wrong.

45 instead of 44 would be dumb imho: /, but never really played a friar, i judt know that id spec 44 staf 49 or 50 (cnat remember hwne u get the last fluff)
friars dont frontload like mercs, they dont heal like clerics and ml perf is grp cure disease, whta makes a friar groupable is teh pwn 3 red resists imho

if ure playing rvr server, urer fighting hib and mid fotm caster or caster/tank hybrid grps atm, hib main nuke is heat, of 50% debufff rom chanter also, and mid base nuke is cold, and u got rc rm with the 50% debuff, i think having the set of 3 24% resists with enemy realms main nuke in (the heat cold resists) is well worth 44 staff, u dont dw so why try and frontload like stupid hard, when with 44 staf + 11 + rr will be absoloutly fine damage, good infact, just my 2 cents

if looking for duo spec, then i dunno howver u wanna

There are two main specs, i dont remember them exactly, but they are 39 staff or 44 staff.

But 50 is a waste, i know that much.

friars boon the lvl 29 anytime style is pretty decent yes... evade style and friars boon as backup should get you through most of pve etc

so 44staff 48enc 7rej 7parry looks kinda ok I guess

if you want the 24% cold resist debuff otherwise 47enh and more in parry I guess

u can play Eldmari 2nite for a bit if ya want m8, he my lvl 43 Friar, he 7 healing, some in parry, then 39 i think in staff rest buffs.

i never even went for you i was attacking siphon. oinly the dd's were what hurt me. he did do leviathan as well not twice dunno what he used 2nd but the first was levi.

the fact i was mezzed when conza was killed meaning a rr4L7 paladin v a rr7 skald and reaver hardly puts the odds in my favour. the amount of spells chants etc on me i hardly did bad.

a skald dishes the dmg quick and a reaver is a tough opponent. one on one i would of beat siphon and i would of like to duel you solo.

if i were blessed with the amount of rp's you had i would of purged and you guys would of lost 2 on 2. now i dont have purge so thats my bad but it was a good fight and tbh i was not flaming you i was merely suprised at how well i did

44staff, 48enhance, 7 parry, 7 rejuv - 5 left over

or 44staff 46enhance 8parry 15 rejuv - 0 left over

first spec gives the final heat/cold resist and last haste (on a 3 min timer, and cosidering the time between combat in rvr (i think alot of friars run solo, and mainly rvr in df) u will probably get a fair bit of use out of ur haste , the second gives a tiny bit of better defence (1 extra parry hardly worth it but hey), 30% ress (ok so its only 20% better than base) and a bit better healing. so really its up 2 which ud preffer. ofc theres other specs.

is ur armsman m8 gunna b polearms/2handed or shield/weapon spec?

Try this as a nice balanced spec:

44 staff, 45 enhance, 15 rejuv, 12 parry no points remaining good balanced spec imo but it's been mine for 2 years so I would say that I guess

alb pryd have all str relics plus i got uber gear.

one thing i noticed. you do evade style then the follow up to stun, then side chain and follow up to that. my 3 speed staff can do side style but the stun is so short when i use my 5.5 speed staff im never quick enough (unless ofc i use haste insta)

what speed staffs should i use. the 5.5 pwns but attacks slow. the 3 is very fast but obviously low dmg hence without uber rp i get hit more. whats a godo staff speed?

at lower levels use a faster staff.. about 3.0-4.2 or something and at lvl 40+ use a slower one

i think it would go faster if he rolls a /level 20 bb for you, you solo to 50 and then PL him to 50

(1) Tell your arms friend to make a pali - far more useful.
(2) Don't go high staff on an rvr server. You'll have problems trying to find a group anyway, so you might as well try to up your utility. rvr groups DO NOT need friars too much. I wouldn't go higher than 39 staff. Try to up your healing: 18-25 at least and get at least yellow resists.
(3) 50 staff is a waste of points. It's just another one of mythics bad jokes. The style chains off of parry, but you never parry as you'll not have enough points left over to put into that skill.
