Class question,

Hello all,

Thinking of having a bash at Camlaan and having a hard time thinking of a good class to play. Probably a support class of some sort, warden or shammy are up on the list.

Are these characters popular in groups etc? The other choice would be a caster of some sort but theyre a bit too easy pickings I think.

Any help appreciated..

Ya healer and clerics are one of the classes who u see very few off outside guild grps, no wonder cuz getting a grp can be hard and pretty much any solo'er would much rather gank u instead of grping. And being dependent on some1 ells to save ur ass on camlann is not too fun really :> Plenty of cave shamans around and also decent specced ones.

Casters tend to be zerged by lowbie tanks who think ur a easy kill but they can still be fun when u get out of the lvl 20 zerg. If u wanna make a healer / cleric i suggest u find some people who dont mind grping and have em close around

I'm familiar with that problem. It's hard to find a class that's good in pvp, has grp utility and it's fun to play at the same time. Still I have some ideas:

TANKS:

Warrior is considered as the best pure melee tank. Due to the mid weapon specs you will be one badass in PvP. You will virtually squish every other melee class in 1vs1. Warriors are also very welcome to PvE exp groups.

Savage, the current predator of RvR is not helpless in PvP either. With the insane damage output most classes won't cause you any trouble. Still keep in mind that choosing this class will mark you as a FotM child.

Paladin is a good pick if you like to tank/support at the same time. Every group (PvP and Pve) will want you for your chants/tanking abilities. You won't have an impressive damage output though.

Reaver is often called a gimp, just because people don't know how to play one successfully. A correctly specced reaver played by a skilled player is evil in PvP (both solo and grp) and very fun to play.

HYBRIDS:

Warden offers both support and action. Warden's buffs/heals/pbt/dam add/haste are all very welcome to group and makes the class exceptional melee-killer. On a side note wardens are not too pletiful so you won't belong to the FotM horde.

Friars do really well in PvP where determination isn't life and death. Staff does tremendous damage and the buffs help both you and your group. Friar doesn't have any form of range attack though so you will be a temping target for casters.

Minstrels are the anti-mages of PvP. You have the tools (Stun shout/mez/dd/speccable weapon) to kill every cloth caster/support class in the game. Minstrel is a fun class with great group utility, just remember to spec 50 instruments.

PRIEST CLASSES:

Cave shamen and nature druids do quite fine here. Their specs don't offer the highest utility but are still welcome to groups. Both classes can solo quite well in PvE too.

Healer (pac/mend) is tremendous fun to play... if you have a group or a guild. Solo healer has 0 offense and is a juicy target to everyone. In groups healer's CC skills are truly lethal though.

STEALTHERS:

Infiltrator is the king of assasins atm. Infils are blessed with great PvP skills but don't expect to get PvE groups.

Archer is a good pick for PvP. Stated simply: you can kill anything that's not in melee range.

CASTERS:

Cabalist, chanter and sm are all great choices. Pick the one you like the best (I'd choose a cabalist). You will be lethal in PvP just watch out for minstrels/skalds

Bolter is a good choice too, just don't bug exploit ;)

Bonedancer is the most hated class on camlann maybe because a bd can kill almost everything that crosses it's path. If you want to be powerful then play one but... you won't be liked for sure.

Ok that was my little guide. Feel free to make corrections :)

got enuf speed chars on camlann, tho bard may always be welcome..

Shaman also welcome for endu..

But finding a guild may help you more then finding the 'right char' (Might help you get in that guild tho).
- May be helpfull to find a guild with your level range...

If u want lvl a support class ( healer, cleric or drood ) better u find first a exp grp or guild grp. I told that cuz i get really hard to lvl my cleric till i joined my actual guild.

Savages are really funny, are ok in grp and ok solo. But some classes can make you a headache ( cave shamys, casters )

Wardens arent really useds in pvp grps, cuz they make low damage. and actually pvp setups on camlann are full of dam dealers, no casters no hibryds, A cool dam dealer grp setup : Healer, Cleric / Drood, Shammy, minstrel, warrior, berseker, 2x savages.

So if u make any of those classes u can find easy pvp grps.

Shammy with cave/aug spec will give you good solo abilities and a useful group char.

Other choice if you want to solo PvP but still be welcome easy in a group is minstrel.

If you want to play support char:
make pac healer, choose yourself if you want to heal or buff on the side.
Or a shammy, but i would go for the healer, mostly case that assure that you always have a healer in your pk group, which is a luxury no non-healers have =)

Cept that, theurg is quite fun
