When you leave uni/school/college etc, what year is used to say youre the class of?
Is it the year you start or the year you leave?

I got that but it was because I did not stay for 6th Form so we should have been the class of 01 but a fair few people are in the Class of 03 because they stayed on in 6th Form.

For Oxford and Cambridge its the year you begin (its called the matriculation date). It makes more sense because of the different length courses. I do think more universities are moving this way. Also it was necessary for Oxford and Cambridge because you get to choose when you graduate.

If people start at the same time, spend 3 years together but then some do an extra year it doesn't make sense to split them up.
