I would like to take this oppurtunity to introduce you all to ClanLinx, which is a site I am hosting at Barrysworld for Clans of any game.
The address is http://www.clanlinx.barrysworld.net.
It is a place where you can get your own clan profile page put on the site, and use the services I am setting up on the site, such as a forum, news script etc... It is available to anyone, as long as they email me (address on the site). Please feel free to browse around and contact the site admins!

But it's also different. Do Barrysworld give you a news script for your clan that you can post announcments on? How about the other services we are planning to give you, such as a forum (private or public) for your clan that we host on our site. What about the ClanLinx Reports?

I am not saying it is 100% different, nor am I saying its 100% similar. It's my own little project to learn PHP, web site skills etc....
Even if you dont like it please check it out.

So you're hosting (on BW) something that anyone else could sign up for - that being the bw hosting service; which can easily sustain a news script (and forum?) ...

The website you professionally designed (and host on bw, gg) is a pretty standard affair - generic site design with no overall effect. The logo desperately needs to be replaced; I for one definately would not consider a 'professional' design company who simply used the Bevel & Drop Shadow pre-defined options to use as what is essentially the header of the site.

The WebDesigners HQ is almost as bad - albeit there is a little more originality in the approach; very little.

More-over, I know that I would never look to a web design company that did not have a domain, though that might just be my pedant attitude.

No, but they give you free hosting upon which you can run all of the above, the only difference I see is "What about the ClanLinx Reports?" & basically I see my retort as having to be (by default) "what about them?"
