Clan use of BC on Publics

Utterly lame in my opinion.

but what's even worse:

6 or 8 members of the same clan offering to take one full team in a public game of CS then using BC.

The result:

The collection of seemingly unclanned ppl got beat repeatedly, 3 maps later thinking the Clan members were pretty good, I realised that their dead ghosting members were spotting for the rest of the team and communicating by BC or RW or something like that.

Outcome:

Uttlerly Lame

CS has built in voice communication, the only reasons why anybody would be using external voice communications is to gain an advantage over everybody else by spotting enemy positions for their own team or mebe because a Battle Com or Roger Wilco message don't get heard by the enemy team so you wouldn't give your position away when using it. Obviously benefits ppl in clan matches, but using them on publics, come on that just sux.

Surely your clan is capable of taking on a server of uncoordinated unknowns (without the BC advantage) and if its not then I suggest you find a less challenging game to indulge in.

how about adding force chase cam to the servers? your not going to stop RW and BC being used, so chase cam is the best way to go

Iv'e been playing cs for the last couple of days, and i ain't been in one equal teamed game.

Every game i seem to be involved in has a team full of good players, and a team playing against them with not so good players.

Every game, needless to say there completely one sided afairs

I aint gonna denie it me and meh clan m8s use RW while ingame but TBH we never all go on the same team and only tell the person where the last one his if theya re lame camping mostly it used for talking when we are pissed and so you dont sound like stephen hawking and also so ppl cant listen in on yer conversations......................Cant really see the point of using it to gain advantage though as most of us are pissee and have no advantage

Not that I doubt your honesty, but how many people have said things like 'I don't wanna cheat, I just wanna download it so I can see how it works and create a defence for it'

Spotting is bullshit, and force chasecam sounds like a good idea to me. Or how about limiting the chasecam to members of your own team?

I aint a fan of Forcechasecam on publics, i mean what if theres a cheater on the other side and you wanna make a demo by watchin him? you wont be able too.

And i like to look at a persons HP when/if he kills me, to see how much i knock off him in battle, and when you say "HP ?" you wont know if he is tellin the truth or lyin

yes, they are both good points and being dead would be pretty boring without flying around.

The only thing that can be done is have sommat that run that knocks out RW when u eneter CS but it seems a little drastict really yes I admit its bullshit that ppl use like I said I use it but not for spotting,,,, Its is actually worse as the player gw=ets accused of being a cheat becaus ehe know where ppl are ....ne the prob with this is that the prog would have to be able to be optional for clan servers and such ne prob shit idea but ya know what i am trying to say

Chasecam blackout is the only way. OR whatever it is anyway, when you can't chase anyone.

I think coms should be used tbh though. CS comes with it, I don't use it personally (lol, as to my clannys chagrin I can't even remember to take my mic to uni.), but if the game comes with it then fair enough. Isn't it supposed to be used then?

Spotting however, is different. Alive, it's all well and good to shout out things like 'two by the door', 'we're being butt-fucked'... etc., but using ghost cam ala wall hack is wrong in my eyes.

Perhaps forced player cam would be a good idea? Black out would be extreme, as they are publics.

Heh, I remember when some clan peeps came to a server I was on about three months back when I was playing blindingly (not anymore though ). They all wanted to join one side and challenge us non-clanned peeps. Thing is, rw, bc, or whatever, they didn't do very well. If I remember for the unclanned side on Italy and Estate we had me, jobs, commando, bob, a couple of mmx and a 4k peep . Bwahahaha.

If you see a clan do what crapini described then get an admin. Its unfair and the admin will sort them out

Ok, what has been done is that now BW admins have all been made aware that they should respond to ppl coming into bwadmins with claims that Clans are using BCom or RW on public servers and are using them to report ememy positions to their Clan m8s.

To get an admin go to #bwadmins on IRC.

I use other forms of voice communication because HL comms are crap.... But I dont use comms on publics... I used to use them with a mate of mine as we played because we chatted as we played, we didnt spot for each other

was on a server before with some people, was CT, with a clan dunno who, anyway, i was dead and these where usin voice comm, one of the members was also dead, anyway, the guy alive was sayin over voice comm

"Is he is the sewer, vote 1 for yes, 2 for no" and all of a sudden you see "vote against player 2" come up, meanin he isnt in the sewer,
"is he in the garage" "vote cast against player 1"

this continued for the whole game, and we won :/
