So, the "town" I live in is now a "city" eh?

I just wonder whether this means we'll see some improvements like being able to actually drive through the place at more than 10 mph and find a parking space, or walk down the pavement without having to avoid all the dogshit and rubbish or walk home at night without being held up at knifepoint by your friendly neighbourhood junkie.

Oh, and I bet the council tax goes up as well

fuck that... cambridge is a city due to some ponsey twat who decided that kings college chapel was a cathedral! TWAT!

oh fuck it... we have loads of places where i can work... although loads o' people did emigrate to be-right-on not so long ago.... dunno if it was to escape the city status tho!

got to admit, it doesnt have much going for it (although I did notice there is now a nice terrace of pubs forming on regent street).
