Lygo told The Sunday Telegraph newspaper he was delighted as Evans would be "perfect" for the channel, which is targeting a more mainstream audience.

He is....personally I reckon the show will be a flop

However...

I'm a bit concerned about where S7 is likely to be heading. I've never really been disappointed in Joss Whedon's work thus far, but the fact that Spike is now supposedly more neutered than he was in S6 (a soul and the chip) might turn out to be quite "flat". I was actually hoping he would lose the chip, have no soul, keep his memories of past events (especially with Buffy) and then S7 deal with the quandary of being soulless, but still having "feelings" for Buffy.

He also deserves to be the "big bad" for S7 given its supposedly the last.

I can't really see what they can do with him if he has a soul and a working chip, it would just be a re-run of S6 but with them dealing with Willow's guilt, etc.

Time will tell I suppose.

The funniest bit of Buffy eva that I remember was when Giles (I think) and someone else disturbed Spike as he had a tape measure out and was measuring up a tomb. He turned round guiltily and the scene went on. Only lasted a second. Marvellous.

I guess you had to see it.

There's some brilliant comedy moments in Buffy.

That's kind of why I liked S6 so much, I enjoyed all of the "terrible trio" scenes...
