Chrimbo RA3 Megagame

I think I raised this some months back after seeing summat on Planetquake or the Ra3 site about a 40 player megagame that wus held at some LAN event. There were demos that looked hilarious & seeing as BW have held sucessful megagames before, what about a big Chrimbo one?

It would be a right larf, although obviously you could only realistically use maps 1 & 4 (although 6 might actaully be useful for a 20 v 20 game )

hehe, i think the wait in a RA3 maga game would stink 2

but how about a ffa megagame ? weve not had a q3 one for ages and i finally have a PC which could run at more than 15 fps durring it to :}

hmmmm, maybe the wait would be bad, maybe not. I think the carnage initially in each round would be so great and so fast that you would probably find it would still be down to 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 fairly quickly.

A FFA would also be cool as long as it wus done on a map big enuff like overkill or summat.

o lads concerning the "wait" in a large game, I wus on some European RA3 server there which has a 32 player limit, and on map1 it wasnt that bad. I think I played 11 v 11 , and it really gets whittled down very quickly, not much more than an 8 v 8 for example.

Besides, a bit o waitin around xmas would be no bad thing, u could drink beer or whiskey or eat some pud.

I'll be discussing plans for this with some other BW staff today/tomorrow, we may do some things but they will be turn up on the day kind of things. Perhaps with some little prizes, perhaps not.
