I asked 4 of my friends what they thought might go well with chorizo in a (gluten free) sandwich, and not one of them knew what I was talking about. Is it that unusual an ingredient that I'M unusual for knowing what it is and, you know, eating it?

This has confused me.

The best Chorizo in Edinburgh is from Lupe Pintos deli, just up from the Kings Theatre. Make sure you get the spicy one. :)

It only works for a public poll. This isn't a public poll. ;)

Feel free to make it public if you can, though. I don't pay attention to these things, you see.

It can't be done after the fact. No big deal though. Things like the Us v Them poll should be public. For this, it doesn't really matter.

Do some pasta, bung in some swetcorn and plenty of green pesto. In a frying pan cuck in some cherry tomatoes wait a bit, chuck in the chorizo once the skin on the tomatoes are starting to peel and cook, leave til chorizo is just starting to get crispy, chuck tomatoes and chorizo over the top of pasta and season heavily with cheddar, viola probably my favorite 10 minute meal :)

I don’t find it unusual your friends didn’t know what it was tbh – I’ve come across people who don’t even know what an avocado is – now that’s sad.
Living in Spain is like dying and going to heaven for me – I’m surrounded by the best cured meats in the world - Maybe I’m just a complete snob when it comes to food

Nope, no snobbery involved; Spanish food is some of the best (and most underrated) food in the world. Problem is most people got their first Spanish food experiences on dodgy package tours to Benidorm or Majorca and haven't revisited it. I've had some of the best meals of my life in Seville and Madrid.
