Dunno why, because this is clearly Films & DVD, but I thought this was a thread about the 2000AD character :(

I didn't really know what to make of this film tbh.

It wasn't an accurate portrayal of his life (as noted in the foreward), so what was the point?

The bit where he sliced that chap up in the prison (then asked "You alright mate?") was bizzare.

Who is chopper :/

Chopper is the biographical tale of an Aussie criminal (yup, real life) who is/was a bit of a loon. DVD is available for about a fiver and shows you Eric Bana (yep, Eric from the Hulk) talking to the real Chopper about his life and the film.

He's like that British nutter currently in prison Charles Bronson (think he changed his name by deed poll as he loved Death Wish), ie. a brain dead thug.

Its a funny film and gave Mr Bana his big break - before that he was a stand up comic fairly well known in Oz.
