Chipped UK Xbox: strange..

I've recently chipped my xbox, and tried playing US DOA 3 (borrowed off my mate who has a US xbox) and it appears to run fine. He was around today cos I was gunna chip his too, and he said it's running much slower than his. On plugging his one in, it was obvious he was right, his xbox played the same game, off the same disc, at about a 35% faster rate. Very similar to the difference between UK/US(or Jap) tekken 3/tag/4.

What puzzles me is that on UK chipped psx/ps2's the speed of import games is as it was intended to be, so why on earth is my xbox playing DOA 3 at what appears to be a slower "uk market" speed?

Any ideas would be appreciated :D

(p.s. it's running on a widescreen tv doing pal 60)

are you using the 60hz option if the game has it?

also might be worth desoldering and re soldering your wires, had the same probs on me yank GC, till it was removed an re-installed so it may be the same fer the xbox

Well, the only 60 hz option is on the xbox menu system itself, and yes that's on.

As for the resolder.. I guess it could be that.. sounds like a weird thing to happen for a faulty connection though.
