Hehe, its a really spooky co-incidence, but tomorow, the 25th of september, it will be exactly 1 year to the day since I did my skydive :)

Hope you enjoy it, and dont worry about the fear side of things, once you get in the plane the fear isnt as much of a problem, I've only done the one jump so I'm not exactly an expert, but if I can help at all by giving you any info then please let me know, would be good to be of help!

thanks, its not long till jumpdate... im just abit worried about not raising the cash, as I know Natwest will give a nice juicy community award and double my efforts... so its free money for childline

nice photos btw, ive always wanted to know what it looks like from the planes viewpoint, i suppose you cant see the height-distance, it just looks very green

I was suprised - for a split second after we jumped, about when that photo was taken of us just out of the plane, I got the "rollercoaster" feeling of my stomach going and the ground rushing up, but it lasted less than a second (I was also looking straight down at the time which didnt help), they tell you to keep your head up when you jump, in the 'free fall position', but I couldnt resist looking down at the time :D

After that split second feeling I didnt have a problem for the rest of the jump though, the feeling of the wind rushing past will probably be almost familiar to you if you have ever ridden a motorbike.

Best of luck though, and make sure you get pictures so we can all see how you get on!

All donations counted to date -: £1270 which is approx 50% of target

Natwest will double the efforts if we reach £2500 - so please please please

tell people, ask people, beg people, guilds, GM's to donate... as I have less than a month to get to target.. I will be in Natwest Branch in Swindon over the next 4 weeks to make sure we smash this target... but if your thinking of donating... please donate even if its £2.50 - it all adds up as you can see

thanks to everyone thus far... 50% of target is a amazing start

Remember you dont actually need a parachute for skydiving, you, however, do need one to jump twice...

Anyways, nice initiative though, have a good one. :fluffle:

well guys... we did it, and looks like we raised just over £1000+ for childline

thankyou to the 6 that raised donations, I appreciate it and it was one of the best experiences ive ever done... and most memorable

We needed to raise a min of £675 for childline, so when I handed over the cheque for £1000... (675 from donations + £500 or £1000 from Natwest) was a nice feeling... now I have the lovely task of collecting silly amounts from about 1000 people

I recommend it to everyone, so go and skydive

P.S I would have DVD footage but £100x5 for the price is just plain expensive, and WRONG!!
