I just read at CS Nation that a really nasty new OGC is out, but theres already a version of Cheating-Death out that beats it :)

Anyhow so I go off to google to have a look at what the fuss is about. Go to a webby, it has a forum, so I look. FFS un-fucking-believable!

OGC 6.1 aimbot problem

I recently downloaded ogc 6.1. installed it properly and started a game of cs. der i noticed the aimbot was f**ked, the shots go WAY off. mayb its da settings of the ogc2.cfg dat f**ked it somehow!can anyone help me with dis problem?

I think OGC 6.1 is possibly the weakest aimbot of the series, but what's the point in having an aimbot that is 100% accurate all the time? Leave them with some doubt, I say. Miss a few targets, every now and again. If you play like some killing machine, people will just vote you off.

If you're good (and I say good, not incredible) for 75% of the time, then people are more likely to believe you're genuinely good, and not cheating. If all you want is to see your name at the top of a score board 40kills, 0deaths, then you might as well draw one in PaintShop.

Any thingywad can install a cheater and murder his way through the opposition. The skill is in blending in. Nothing like being congratulated on your play by others when you know you're cheating your ass off. That's where the fun is.

Well, that's how I see it anyway.

With this kind of mentality I don't see how we will ever be cheat free. The stuff I've quoted here is the tip of the iceberg, there is tech help, noob help etc, a complete training course for no skill fuckwits.

I play more often on clan servers nowadays as theres usually a clan member with admin and common sense. BW etc are really going to struggle to fight these dickwads.

I have always thought that it is the clever cheats that are the biggest problem. Like the guy says "The skill is in blending in.".

I am sure we have all seen players we are not sure about. Are they good, or are they cheating?

TBH I've given up worrying, CS will never be played on an totally even level except on a LAN with identical machines. There will always be differences in connection speed, hardware, even monitor size and resolution that will give people advantages over others. Cheats just extend this.

I play for fun, not to impress anyone. Every opponent offers a unique challenge, whether he is cheating or not, every game is completely different, these are the differences between playing on-line or off. As far as I am concerned they are enough to keep me playing, even though I know cheating is rife.

I will of course still try to get the obvious cheaters kicked, they are just taking the piss, and they are stupid enough to deserve everything they get.

I've said that all along, the real cheats are the ones that hide it, they are the problem, they cause the trouble, paranoia affects the game hugely because of them.

myg0t and the other blatent cheater clans, I follow around a little and laugh at them for dying even tho they are using everything ogc has to offer. Clearly if I used a cheat like that I'd barely die, and I'd cheat fairly unnoticably.

There are loads of things like that on the net Yuck, you cant stop it, our hope lies with valve.

could it be..... lazy cs players and not true cheatin mofo's now?

if the satisfaction of bein a cheat and nobody noticing is that good, why don't they become politicians or something. Hell they probably are.... watch out tony could be ownzing ur punk ass as we speak

o and politicians don't cover it up well enuff ;)

OGC, the infamous CS cheat that basically hacks every single thing in the game, has ceased public development for CS 1.3. They are "tired of fixing anti-cheats." The bad news is that the 'complete' source code has been released. This means that if the OGC hackers don't update it, someone else will.

Either way, this is a major victory in a so-called unwinnable war against cheats. Cheating-Death is largely responsible for this temporary victory. The sad news is that CS 1.4 is getting close to release and it's lose-lose for C-D. Either Valve's anti-cheat code works and C-D is no longer needed, or it fails and the C-D team will have to work under further limitations due to Valve's code.


Ah well shits happens I suppose.

I agree with the sentiments above btw, been away a couple of days.

Just a question for the techie...
I've no idea how the anti-cheat stuff really works, but wouldn't getting the source, changing whatever the arrays etc are within the code, basically modding it about abit, using own variables, would this new binary be able to be detected? (not that ive any interest in using a cheat, I was just thinking about it the other day)

I have a better idea:

Release a modified version of the OGC each time it comes out. Make it do something like, oh, I don't know......erase the bios?

Is the new OGC version 7.02?

I was browsin a Warez Site coz i was bored and the line:

HalfLife CounterStrike OGC 7.02 Hack

And then i went.. ohh they do em on Warez... lol

7.42 is also the last version of OGC that will be released for cs1.3

The source code is out so expect someone to pick it up though.
