"Cheap" Graphics Card

I have just finished building a second pc from all the bits I had left.I wish to play Q2 over a LAN, but the S3 Trio card I had left is not up to the job.

Does anyone know of a cheap graphics card I could get to play Q2 with open GL?

This card will not have to run anything more demanding than Q2.

A VooDoo2 card is probably your best bet (failing that, a TNT2).

Forgot about this one... the 3dfx Velocity 100. Tis essentially an 8 meg V3 with a TMU disabled in the drivers... you can enable it with a registry entry and then you will have V3 2000 performance. Price? Between 35 and 40 quid.

ATi Rage Chips would be ok for games like Quake 2. My Ati Xpert runs it nice.

A TNT chip cra dperhaps or a Voodoo Banshee

Yea TUG, seen the velocity 100 @ 40 quid.

As Rock mentioned it needs to be PCI.

Does the V100 come in PCI?

I *think* it's agp but I'm not sure... the places that often sell it are currys, dixons etc, so if u can find a display box it should say, or check www.3dfx.com for specs etc
