and tbh in my experience I find using like physical pierce weapons hard work versus assasins.

I still think if you gonna go pierce u need leggies. a template which allows you to switch mainhands would be nice.

I'm running blades which is even harder due to dex being the main attribute, and the vulnerbility to str/con debuffs + disease poisons.

However GS procs a thrust debuff and is a slower weapon than the typical Malice + xxx offhand combo.

So in the end I don't reckon the weapon choice is that bad, especially not with buffed resists, eventually just the CL ones.

Please don't take this too hard, overall your template is pretty good, just not exceptional.

For a melee ranger you really need some high utility armour pieces imo, preferably something that allows you to sub out some of your items (Ring of Dances and Band of Stars spring to mind as two items that have better alternatives).

Template as it stands is pretty good, it'll do in rvr, but it won't give you an edge. Most albs/mids know hibs usually leave energy resists blank primarily, then matter (for some reason we seem to be of the opinion matter resists will only allow us to kill warlocks, which isn't the reason to have them at all ;)). Energy weapons are common amongst hunters. Matter weapons are common amongst assassins. A good duelist will switch weapons and learn what you are weak against, once he/she knows, you'll struggle against them from then onwards and assassins chat with each other.

Leggies are imo the way to go, they really turn the tables allowing you to dictate who has the edge rather than your opponent. At the very least, they even-up a fight against a good assassin and allow you to fire multiple posions without penalising you with a temporary weakness.

I'd also think about your hits cap, 240 hits is ok, but again nothing special.

If you read a few posts up, i posted another temp which i am able to use all leggys :p and i will definatly be keeping rod and bos, an extra stealth lore = yes please, and the stat debuff bolt thing is fun :p.

Show me a cheap pierce template with more that 80 hit cap and still have 20+ dex / str cap and ill use it ;o.
