Chars dissapearing?

The servers were down for a while tonight, atleast PvP Server was and when they got back up again my chars dissapeared. Anyone else had this problem too or is it just me again with bad luck?

This tend to happen when you login before all servers are up.
It seems that the server architecture(sp?) will let you logon, see the realms as up, but they don't nesseserely have contact with the server/s handeling the chars. Just me guessing here, but it seems to happen when you get on *to fast* after a re-boot.

They have their servers/forums tied to a main authentication server, (well US does) so if the auth server goes down you cant log into either the servers nor the forum ..... oO
And sometimes you'll get your server listed but then have no chars showing.... nothing to do with them being wiped... (yet), just means the char db to that server has become "disconnected".....
But you'll ALWAYS get the "omg! where's my chars been wiped!!!1!" crys from people

One of my characters "my main naturally" gets kicked out every 5mins between 4pm-7pm gmt on a dayly basis no idea why but the other characters on the account dont have the same problem. Apart from that ive had no problems atall... back to daoc full time when wow goes live anyway

Anyone have experience with constant disconnects, ie. as soon as they log in they get kicked back to the login screen either almost instantly, or after a few minutes?

I'm on broadband, but a newbie to wow & basically looking to see if anyone has heard of this problem & possible causes so I can get it sorted before release.

Only have that if an annoying friend of mine wants to play the same account at same time. Because you get logged off when someone else logs in. So I dunno if that's the case with you. Maybe try a reinstall or if that doesn't work make a post on forum and report it. Mate of mine can't do emotes for some weird reason (makes him crash).
