Question: Will we ever get this command?

as i see it, it would give people from other serves a chance to test the new patch with a HIGH lvl person rather than some shitty lvl 1 noob doing absolutely nothing.


it would be useful if we got a co-op server cos then we could play about a bit with high levelers.

Might be hard to implement on EU with the different language versions. Or maybe not. It was on some news bit that they're investigating it.

Doubt that the Data for the Chars is any different in the other languages, worst that could happen is, that you get text in another language.
Most of the Quest- and NPC-text is stored on the server, most of the interface text on your local machine.

Seems unlikely. Mythic and GOA have different testing needs - the Pendragon system of constantly running a test server wouldn't work well for GOA, who need to test three different datasets when they make one large patch, rather than constantly test incremental patches. The function "test the server with high level characters in all three languages" is already fulfilled by loading Gorre with the Avalon, Brocelliande and Excalibur databases, so /charcopy wouldn't really work.

wouldn`t it be possible to saw like.. right this week the server is in german.. then the next week english etc etc... but still allow people from all over the place to copy there chars there.. so if someone from say avalon wanted to test there char on gorre but it was in english they could and vice versa.. so basily changed the languages of the server but allow anyone to copy there char there.. or would that need translation as well ? ie the char data itself
