Now don't come here and tell me it isn't possible, it's a game, wich is programmed, and programms can be alterd / re-programmed.
because I really like playing my hib toons, just not in empty frontiers, and when all my guildies are on avalon midgard.

Now please mythic/goa wake up and see UK cluster is not rvr how it should be, and pleeasseee wake up and give character transfer..

its not going to happen, different chara databases between us and EU means manually recreating charachters between the two sets of servers. Far to much effort.
However, now zones are not language dependant, I'm interested to see when they'll cluster frontiers with avalon etc while keeping out language in english.

clustering with german server etc sould work. npc etc in frontier will be in german and having two of each other zone will make one in german and one in english. cant be harder than that.

1) The ONLY issues they would have would be the same IDs for characters; unless they've got a really good GUID which won't give ID dupes. Or account name dupes.

If they're running all their characters in Oracle or in MySQL they could have the whole player base exported in about a day and moved over, along with all armour/anything to do with the playe... Though they won't.

You have no clue how game databases work. Anything which is kept in a database can be changed and fixed (Table modification/field addon etc - WTG @ Table Designing!) and exported to work on another database without any major issues.

Guessing DAoC has over 2-3m characters, yes - that's one fucking long job to do a merge/move over - but it CAN be done and as I've said, they won't do it.

I'd hate to do the job if they were going to o_o

they cant, dont and wont do it not because of database restrictions but because of contract restrictions. aslong as GOA make money from this game i very very much doubt that they will give up more subs to mythic then they have to. they loose enough from the traitors that reroll on US as it is.
