Character renaming...

I made a mistake giving one of my characters a surname, and want to know how to remove it completely?

Oh well - guess I'll delete and start over then, because that's unacceptable.

My fault I know, would be nice if you could get rid of your surname altogether though...

Yeah it's a pain, i deleted my friar and remade it because i didn't want one.

I only have 2 characters that have surnames... I just don't like them. Although i'm planning on making one of my lowbie chars to be a role play name... some day.
But, why do people forever have to be stuck with a surname? I thought this issue would have been ironed out a long time ago.
