Char advice and looking for guild.

I am currently thinking of coming over to PvP , i play a lot in the late evening at the moment and think it would probably be ideal for leveling on camlann without as much fear of getting ganked every 2 mins while i level..
I currently play Excal/Alb on a sorc mostly and necro for the odd bit of farming when needed , what I am wondering is what char would be a good char to start with - think i would actually prefer a hib/mid char just for a change , also i have access to a 2nd account so a BB would also be available to me if needed.
Can anyone give me some advice on what would be a decent mid/hib char to start off with with a lil BB in tow (2nd acc doesnt have a 50 as yet) , I think ideally i would prefer a tank - would make a nice change from me sorc who is stealther fodder. I dont fancy rolling another necro either to pl me account - prefer thwack exp / grouping.
Also can anyone recommend a decent guild - preferably english based / alternatively any guilds with a late night contigent would be even better but i'm not theat worried as i will play earlier evening once me char is of a decent level.

cant go wrong with zerker/shammy for a melee duo (or any tank and shammy, really)

as for guilds, dont think you can really join any of the 'good' guilds until you are reasonably high level, but some of the noobier guilds will probably help you level, so it may pay off to join just any random guild (dunno whats the current lets-invite-all-the-lvl20s guild, but theres always one )

As a first char it's probably easiest to go for a mage as their equipment costs are lower. Something like a Spiritmaster or enchanter combined with a healer should do quite nicely.

If you want a tank, shammy plus any tank is a good combo as skold says.

Might be a silly question but i've only ever played alb - what benefits does a shammy have as a bot over an enhance cleric ?

I lvld my savage with a bbot (shammy) both started to lvl1, easy way to 50, u can do same with blademasters, bersekers, mercs, .....

U can also do with shield spec tanks, but they kill a bit slowest


Btw, do a Rogue with bbot, u will get much more fun till u get friends on pvp

And rogues ( Shadowblade, Infiltrator and Nightshade ) are so easy to get cash, cuz they kill a lot when they got PA + CD.

Thats just my opinion.

I believe the fotm guild is TOTAL WESTERN

and a good frontloader is something like a bm, merc, PALLY!!, warrior is nice as well.. they can deal dmg with 2h or run a 1h and shield for defense, also i believe Spear Heros are nice...

Depend on vs u are fighting.

Anyway, a good zerker really makes a lot of damage, but Vs savages they got no chance. But they will kill many of the other class in 2/3 hits when they go on vendo ^^

P.D. Vukod kills in 3/4 hits with no vendo ^^
