Change of name?

Is it possible to change ones name on the server? I am looking to change it for a fun little mini event i'm planning

Uhm, what I tried to say there. Is: It might be possible, I think I've seen a plugin that allows you to create a "alias". I will check into it, and come back later =)

Ok my steel and gold blocks seem to be gone after not logging in ages, not im worried, trying to remember if I put them somewhere

A few things seem to be disappearing. Yellow blocks in the old spawn area.
