Ok so I have my fire blaster, which is nice - point - click - BOOM !!!

Ive been looking through the classes trying to think of something that would be more challenging, anyone have a wild idea ? Just looking for something a little unique and rather not be a tank/scrapper.

I just cant decide,

Illusion controllers are good fun to play ... same with gravity! :) Add a bit of storm calling in for good measure and you have yerself a nice but not-so-easy-to-play class!! \o/

For the same reason I dumped my ice/ice blaster and rolled a scrapper. Much more fun, feels more challenging, more involved and intense. For me, it felt like the blaster is: stand still/hover + cycle targets + keep smashing the 3 nukes... check did you win or loose;)

Yes indeed, one of my most played chars is grav/storm controller. Really effective and challenging. Can't do any damage tho (thus no solo). Also tested Illusion/Storm, what seemed to be the difference was that Illusion does better damage and can prolly solo some, but the effects off powers are annoying;)

Radiation defender might be challenging one too.

Up until about level 6 I found that the illusion controller could take about 70% HP from a white con mob with one hit. Really good for soloing but it starts getting a lot harder to kill mobs (obviously) and you only have one spell that can do any damage...and the accuracy of that spell SUCKS!!

at higher levels controllers and defenders can basically forget soloing, since all they'll be able to kill in a reasonable amount of time is greens, or blues if they're lucky.

Not true Belsameth. I have a level 30 illusion/storm controller and he can solo a mission without using phantom pets ... using pets I can gank groups of white-yellow mobs, a group of 6 is my record so far. Nothing compared to a blaster of course, but then I don't like playing the game on easy mode :p

Group invisibility
Teleport into mobs
Flash
Freezing Rain
Phantom Army
Teleport out and then assist 'nuke'

With a combination of blind/'wounds' and brawl I often take the lieutenants down in group missions. Sure my controller doesn't have many hits but if the mobs not hitting you then you're not taking damage ;)

I think my controller is totally gimped for soloing - but I'm comparring to my blaster who can easily take on groups of 10 whites and blase through them in a minute tops. I don't mind really, I didn't roll my controller for soloing. :p

Nerf Illusion controllers! How can imaginary wounds hurt more the villains than the fork-lift or pool table or old rusty car I swing at them ;)
