la reg totes an article quoting a dutch mag (of dubious nature imo, but I never read anything other than SysAdmin) stating that the nice cdrs we all know and love may not be as resistant to degrading over time as we want them to be. article here.

naturally the RIAA is behind it this sounds lots like those degradable dvds that WPKenny posted about once apon a time...but in this case it's unwanted :/
