Out of interest, taking that you want to split spec using the 51 effective system and you were to use blade main-hand and pierce off-hand, hows the weapon skill going to be determined?
Now since your using blade main hand, the game must take the ws which is based off your str, and your skill + bonus to blades. The only way your weapon skill is lowered (amusing stats ie str stays constant) is due to you speccing less in blade so that you can put the points into pierce therefore being able to reach 51 effective with the use of RR skill bonus + SC.
If this is correct then if you don't mind losing out on parry (ie not speccing in it at all) then you would want get blade as higher spec+bonuses as possible to gain higher WS, but still keeping in mind you have to keep your pierce up maintain its dmg with 51 effective bonus.
Basically im wanting to find out is:
A) is the above right? (about ws being taking from blades and not pierce, or split between the both?)
b) what is the best way of speccing to get the best ws, yet keeping the effective 51 for pierce. Currently im thinking you would get blade as high as possible, and drop pierce down as low as possible yet keeping 51skill, and putting the points into blade to get the ws higher.
c) there any tests been done to this effect?
