CD-R recommendations

Right as I mentioned before i just got myself a lite-on 52x24x52 speed writer... anyway my probs is before I only had a jippy 4x writer... I'd recently been using the cheapest 100 cd's for £12 style off the spindle disks which were great... however now when it ocmes to burning them at 52x speed I mainly seem to be throwing most the disks away without smartburn on or only writing at 16x with it on.... so can anyone suggest some good CD-R's (the cheaper the better but not totally at the expense of quality) and anywhere good online I can buy them? cheers guys :D

I've settled on Memorex CD-Rs as being the best balance (for me anyway) of quality and cost, writing at 32x with never a coster created. I pick them up from a local shop at about £20 for a spindle of 50, or something.

Bear in mind that you're unlikely to ever to burn constantly at 52x speed anyway, as the speed of your hard drive, SCSI or IDE and memory start to play a factor. If I were you I'd let your burning software (Nero, I presume?) burn the CD at the fastest safest speed it recommends.

12 quid for 100 cds at 32x, about 900 burned so far and I've had maybe 10 failures in total.
