Or whatever they're called in Half Life .
I want to change my won id, when i put Half Life on my sons PC I mistakenly used the same number for both installations. Not for CS, cos thats the retail version, but Half Life, or in other words DoD.
Does anyone know how i can do that without a re-install ?
Cheers if you can help .

Heres how to do it:

Open your Registry (Start > Run > Type "regedit").
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Valve > (I have CS Retail installed here) Counterstrike > Settings > and Modify the "Key" File

If your both sharing the same net connection it shouldnt make too much difference - as far as I remember, two HL clients can play off the same wonID so long as they have the same Internet IP address.

Just an additional (serious) note

But you can have DoD installed with the retail version of CS,

you don't have to have Halflife.

Bit late now though

Lol spot the deliberate mistake ;)
I remember once i had a 486 with a 250mb hard drive. I could just about get Doom 95 on it :)
