Being a child of the seventies I grew up with Hanna-Barbera cartoons, there was seemingly an endless supply of them on TV, using the same backgrounds too !

Tom and Jerry were MGM (although directed by Hanna & Barbera, who later created their own company), and RR was Warner Bros.

used to have a link to all that shit(tom and jerry/rr history stuff) but lost it few years ago and cant be arsed to back this up but as far as i remember the origional t/j stuff was taken over by HB who failed to make a go of it all even though they used the same artists (1973/4 i think)or there abouts cos hitting animals with shit is bad and not funny
and yer i think road runner was always W.B but got shit for the same reason
they also gave em voices which was a bad move (dont care what any1 says tom spoke and sang songs and jerry got the knob on 4 a little girly mouse and spoke/sang to her) and got rid of the big black bird(toms owner)cos thats racist

Tom and Jerry and Road Runner were/are my fave's. Anything by the WB studio was fab.

Used to watch just about anything though as a kid, including Heathcliffe and Marmaduke.
