There are bigger ships out there, in some of the further away systems you can get freighters which do 250 cargo, maybe even some bigger.

Also, is it me or are the cargo ships better than the Light Fighters? The added turrets make things so much easier!

Cargo space really doesn't bother me, it's the extra shield batteries that make the difference though at the end of the day.

No point going somewhere loaded with cargo if that cargo ends up floating in space amongst the remains of your ship

This is my trade route:
Beryllium from Cardiff Mining Facility, Cambridge, 149
to The Ring, New Berlin, 1200
then
Diamonds from Planet New Berlin, New Berlin, 390
to Planet New Tokyo, New Tokyo, 1650
and then
Engine Components from Planet New Tokyo, New Tokyo, 225
to Planet Cambridge, Cambridge 1275.

With a Humpback you'll soon have more than enough money for anything.

My favourite trade route is Optronics from planet Leeds to Cambride then Diamonds from Cambridge to Leeds. Easy money, with a short journey its trade lanes the whole way. (Berlin to tokyo is good but its too long for me, i get bored).

Also, getting artifacts from anywhere that sells them (Mainly the bases in the Omicron and Omega systems) to Manhatten or london. Also you can get a fortune by selling diamonds to tokyo.

Thats pretty time consuming though, a good way is just to loot the many derilict ships that are floating around space! you can loads of class 10 weapons and sell them for 35,000 credits each! Another good way is to get weapons from your enemies by killing them and tractoring in their weapons you can collect loads of weapons this way, then just sell them.

The easyist way to make money though is doing missions for the corsairs because they pay almose 100,000 for each mission! Easy money!.

p.s. Has anyone found a Class 10 turret yet? Thats the only thing I havn't got maxed out on my ship.

Plus missions for them helps your faction for them, meaning you can get the Titan!

Level 10 turret, I haven't come across one yet, might be one available from one of the derelicts, will see if I can find one later on.

Do you mean turrets or just normal guns? Because i've found a load of guns... (Nomad weapons are be best, 0 energy usage ) but never any turrets.

Ok, after passing 1 million credits, it becomes VERY hard to solo these routes as the hordes that jump you are Level 12/13.

I find that the freighters are too big a target and you cant evade incoming fire like you can with the fighters. Given that most encounters are 4v1 this is a problem. Firepower is great yeah you just get hit too much.

1 million credits LOL, I only have 80k (maybe Im following the storyline too much)

This is in Multiplayer. And Really, once you get to a few hundred thousand credits, you can bug one of us higher people to escort you to Freeport 10, and then Omicron Alpha.

The fastest money is doing Outcast missions (95-250k a go) and selling the weapons/cargo you get from the fight.

Passed 2 Million last night. Still only Rank 38.
