Car Number Plates?

Ok I have found a car I'm interested in.

The owner has a personal number plate but wants to change it before he sells it.

How long does it take to change the personal number plate to its original?

Any ideas?

A mate did it. He just has to go to the local registrar with the correct documentation. Day or two at most.

The two weeks are by post. Mate did it on the same day by going to the local DVLA registrar....
