That is actually a good idea executed well IMO.
I hate to think of the replacement cost in a side-on smash.

Beats gull wing doors at least.

Cost would be ridiculous, too much reliance on a mechanical process, and useless for low rides and the crappy bumpy roads most of us have.

I've just got a fiesta mate, but it does have low profile tyres as standard.

Nifty, but pointless. Cost more, more trouble and i'm thinking that door has a bit of a cost on the battery too. It's not steam powered i assume :p

The hoity toity rich folk scenery didn't help.

lol it is pretty cool...and useful for when you park a bit too close to the car next door ^^

te only concern I'd have is when its pissing it down (as it frequently does here) with hinge doors you can use them as a shield and just kind of whip out before your car becomes a paddling pool but those doors, you're asking for trouble there.
