Right, I'm stuck on what to get.
Either Pioneer DEH-P4400R
or Blaupunkt Denver CD70

I would definately get the Pioneer but it's in silver, and as my dash is black I think it might look a bit odd. :(
So, does anyone know what the quality's like on a Blaupunkt?

Save your money.

For a small fee I'll sit in the back of your car and sing to you ;)

Without even looking I'd get the Pioneer.

The Blaupunkt *sounds* nice but is fucking lacking in terms of balls... Depends if you like quiet tunes or not :)

Pioneers have nads, more features and sound more than good enough for most peoples needs.

my pioneer plays little animations for me on the screen as well as playing my favourite CDs. Absolutely pointless after a while but guarenteed to impress anyone who gets in the car.

So would I, until the introduced the crappy silver casing.....bastards. Considering most people recommend Pioneer, I think it'll have to be the Pioneer. (it has an AUX in as well).

Well, I don't really like the overly loud thumping bass that you hear pumping out of 1.0 litre Novas, I just look at them and think (or shout :p).....prick.

I have a Kenwood KRC-759R Mask head unit hooked up to a pair of JBL 6x9's. Sounds fucking awesome with loud rock music, and the Mask flipping out is great for making people go "ooooh". The new Mask's have a face off thingy aswell for if you don't trust Mask in dodgy areas (like Stoke-on-Trent).

I never liked Pioneer car stereos. Too fiddly to operate and never thought the sound was as good as Kenwood or Sony.

Blaupunkt have a reputation for giving a very sweet, neutral sound. Pioneer have a reputation for being fairly bass-heavy.

The Blaupunkt is your man then.

I don't doubt it for a second Tuggy old boy :)

Blaupunkt are even to this day standard equipment on BMWs arent they? That speaks volumes really.
