Have it on DC.

Best 2D fighter on it IMO.

But aren't 2D fighters old hat these days? :p

Maybe but I still think the majority of 3d fighters play too slowley in comparison to SF2:SCE when its cranked to max turbo, so i'm looking for speed :)

Is PS2 SNK v Capcom 2 much different from Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on the DC?

There's a pretty big leap between SF2Turbo, SFAlpha and say Marvel vs Capcom2 but over the last few years capcom fighters havent really changed much, a few more or a few less characters, a few more or a few less levels, perhaps some different types of supercombo's, nothing to radical or different tho.

Borrowed a DC off a m8 atm, so MvC2 (and guilty gear x) are my current fighters.

MvC2 is one of the Capcom Vs series which features huge chain combos, super-jumps and a generally over-the-top feel. Capcom Vs SNK 2 is not actually, despite the name, really part of the Vs series and plays more like SF Alpha series.

Sounds interesting, i definetly noticed MvC2s Xmen roots, with the double high jumps midair stuff etc. If its a purer version of Street Fighter i might pick it up 2nd hand or something, always nice to have one decent 2d fighter on every console i own.

Still think SFA2 on the Saturn is the best 2d fighter :)

Actually it appears to play like a wide variety of titles when you choose your groove. I've just been giving it a quick run through & i'm most impressed, I can finally put my MegaDrive into its lovley box & put it away somewhere dank :D

Yaka!

That was a crap game, but in saying that you reminded me of another robot beatemup that I loved soooo much...

You could buy certain robots and upgrade them in different areas. It was so good, but I cant remember the name..

I went into EB to buy it and they had one copy, but someone had teefed the cd from inside the box :(

Mystic G said something about speed of the fighter games. Granted the 3d ones aren't gunna match it, cos that'd look really gay but certainly the 3d fighters that we brits get could be a lot faster. Anyone who's played a jap version or yank version of any 3d fighter will know that they get them about 17% faster than we do, which is quite a difference. It's also quite gay.

Having gotten used to the us tekken series, I find my brain has to slow down to cope with the UK version if/when I play it..

God knows why they do it, and is it bollocks to do with the tv refresh rates..

Primal Rage on the Megadrive. Oh how it sucked. Fighting dinosaurs = bad idea.
