cap increases.

A few thoughts on cap increases. Dont think of game limitations i am thinking freely here.

let us say i have accumulated +20 str cap bonus.
I have that capped with +str from items.

Will that also raise the cap on buffs? let us say the cap on str from buffs were a total of 340 would +str cap also mean that my new buff cap would be 360?

I have been unable to find information regarding this.

No it wouldn't raise the caps on buffs. You would have the extra 20str, but it won't have come from the buffs. If your talking about the 'Hardcaps' apparently on stats those have been removed, but the returns from 300+ are deminishing (not as much bonus per-point as below 300)

Actually there is no cap on str(con,dex...) anymore, only qui still has a hard(?) cap of 260(?).

The existing caps are all for the origin of the increase (buffs, items). So with all +str you get within the limit of items/buffs your str will raise. Some class-race combinations can go over 400.

actually the hardcap on quickness is 250 :(

The hardcap for what effect?

Afaik it's capped @ 250 for Melee swing speed, but Qui affects Bow Drawtime/Parry/Evade aswell.

So I'm not quite sure but I always thought that above 250 Qui would stop affecting swing speed, but however keep affecting parrys/evades/drawtimes on bow.

No clue if it's true, would make most sense thou :p

Agree with sevensins...in my experience its only melee atk spd that has hardcap at 250qui...evade etc is still affected above 250.

Qui doesen't affect parry, tho it affects evade. I also think that it's just swingspeed that's softcapped at 250. Go qui :eek:

u will never need more then 250qui tbh. Maybe if they remove the evade cap qui will be worth raising over 250 again

If you have 25 str overcap, then have 100 total str in your sc template, you will get that full overcap.It will not come from buffs if you have 75 str in sc and 25 overcap, you have to fill the gap in.(so if you do this then you do get the overcapped when buffed)

Str doesn't matter if it's over 400, it always has same effect, i have tested this with a troll zerk using 390str before then 417str after and notice my weaponskill increases the exactly same amount per str point.Hard qui cap may be removed in frontiers due to no mastery of arms, not confirmed though.

thought the cap was at 300 for everything apart from str and quick? i dont get anything extra from having over 300 con on my zerker anyway :p

i think mythic changed it because there was a troll warroir at level 50 you still have the same cap on str as a kobby (or something like that). IMO they should of set a cap based on the characters starting stats, so there would still be caps, but a trolls STR ca would be higher than anyone elses (maybe starting stat + 250).

i knew having higher than 300str does increase damage/WS etc etc, but having higher than 300 con seems to have no effect, neither does having higher than 300 dex :p
