Shame about the lamers on ff servers.... i have never seen the point in tking. What really gets to me is getting booted myself.

When you spwan and a team mate tk you straight away, they do this a few times untill you get pissed off. Next time they start shooting you know if you don't retaliate they are going to kill you so you fire back and kill them first.....

Then your get teams m8 accusing you of tking and then THEY kill you. You can't win! In the end i just get pissed off and kill everyone and end up getting booted. Even though i had come into the server for a fun game i end up being a tker. Best thing to do i think i just leave and find another one or try and get admin.

Like you say, sometimes you have enough of it you fire back. Afterwhich you say something along the lines of now %$%$% lamer. Then he starts the old 'No it's you who is the tk'er' routine
They love that, so your best bet is just to leave and chillout. Don't let some faceless wimp you could prolly knock through the floor upset you.

Isn't there an admin bot that gives playeres the option of whether or not they want a player booted??

Say something like: Boot player xxxx?
Press 1 for yes
Press 2 for no

If enough people vote yes then they get booted....

Also, can't you ban a player from a server? Well, i know you can, i got banned from a beginners server trying to show my flat mate how to play. I got a bit carried away and wouldn't let him play

Err imo it would be abused.

Notice bw servers dont let u vote a player out? Thats cause it was being abused by clans to get theri mates into the server.

Jesus ffs was the realy going on? clans members kicking people so they could take over public servers. Iv'e never heard of anything so lame in my life. Imho anyone who got caught doing that should be kicked out of online gamming community on barrysworld full stop.

Only 1 server needs a vote on barrysworld imho and thats the hunted server, so you can kick the prez when he goes on his repeated suicide routine.

Been forced out of a server once so that a clan could have a match.

usually play on Woopies which is a local Scottish server - got to know most of the same guys who played on there (at a lan match) and used to play every monday and Thursday.

Was on during the weekend playing with a few folk and this Clan (German I think - DoW) cam on and started tking everyone who wasnt DoW or the other clan member.

Got so fed up you left and they filled up the server.

So if there are any DoW in disguise out there :

One other solution is that they use Mirror damage which means if u shoot your own team member it takes off your health.

Yeah, an admin bot would prevent any abuse of the voting system. Can it detect people who continually tk or twound? So then it can activate a voting system.

At least by that it would stop for example, clans filling up public servers.

I never knew that happened, cheap bastards.

I do like the thought of the mirror damage thing. But i'm sure there are people out there who will be able to get around it. Lol, i am sure there are people who can get past the adminmod. Wonder if 1.3 will live up to the expectations?

Hey Mirror damage is great in TFC if a sniper goes to shoot you as they think your a spy. Head shooting themsleves and things.

Not totally sure but I know its possible to count the number of TK and kick them if they do it so often.

problem is with mirror damage, you would get the same twats who like TKing jumping in front of you when you are firing, with obvious consequences. Twats can always find a way to be...twatish. Still a good idea though, reminds me of red dwarf.....
