Cant login to the patcher + (msn)

I got a wird error lately.. Cant play daoc (cannot loggin to patch.bin stuff, like if i didnt have connection, but I kinda got that)...

Anyone that can help me? I havent changed firewall or anything..

MY guess is that your firewall is blocking daoc because you didnt tell it to allow access to the new .exes etc, try those settings - if you dont know how, then I suggest you use google and find out how.

my isp have everything exept http(port8080) and msn port blocked and caped download speed caped at 10k atm. but i guess they would have sent you a letter if they shut you down in that way.. :>
if its not that i guess the most common thing is firewall problem as stated.

"Capped" would imply that someone (i.e. his ISP) had limited his connection bandwidth.

My ISP and the type of subscription i have is 10gig/month. more and i will be penalized.
Thankfully i have a wide variety of peered companies which isnt counted as traffic.
However i wont be penalized as certain traffic is blocked.
Everything except ping/traceroute works to the outside world and inwards as it should. (due to certain virus types, spamming it).

My guess is as other mentioned YOUR firewall.
An easy way is to shut down the firewall if you feel secure servicepackwise etc.

But an alternative is spyware or hosts file hijacking.

i suggest you search for that also.

If that also comes out clean, check with your ISP.

ok problem fixed.. deleted za -> restart -> connect internet explorer : then both msn and daoc worked again.. xD

deleted ZA??? im having trouble also atm, cant log in to msn, cant join this page http://en.wow-europe.com

its really strange since a friend of mine can acess both, he doesnt have same isp though.. and about 4 days ago i could join both msn messenger and the homepage.. havent been able to since.. have run spyware detection etc.. would be glad with some advice to..

Put the LAN security to medium on ZA, don't delete it you fool

Edit: Or keep all security settings on high, disable ZA whilst connecting to daoc/msn etc, and enable while in-game.

Worked for me.
