Can't log in after CTD and latest patch

had a CTD and then automatically loaded the new update. Now I can't log back in. The connection dialogue just says handshaking for ages then fails and restarts.

Checked my Subs and says Ok till Nov 10th so is just me or anyone else having same issue?

not had that issue, noticed that the slow-as-shite quit is back though, where you quit but then have to wait a while to do sod all else with your PC.

I'm the same, been terrible for several days for me and now the client won't connect and I can't even connect to get a list of the servers at the moment.
No other net problems at all, just GOA. Can't even reach their WAR web page with any guarantees.

Finally I connected ok after a couple hours and a reboot of PC and Router.

Vandar, I know its basic but are you sure your firewall is allowing the new War.exe the correct net rights. Always have to update mine after each patch.

Problems with Open-Transit sound familiar to anyone?

Got on last night at 22:30 UK error free, no rubberbanding etc. The obviously fixed the network problem.

This was reported by quite a few users after yesterday's client patch rollback. If anyone still has this problem, please drop me a PM with details.

Might for the future look here. I had something similliar yesterday and had to open my router for forwarding on the mentioned ports.
Thanks to Civy for getting my brain to working and searching here on this forum.

My game got as far as showing the "Loading screen", and then just CTD..

Then i tryed a backed up client.. I got to the char screen, then the grafics went crazy. Now my gfx drivers went to hell, and so did my system disk, aparently. Think it got a bad CTD somehow resulting in a BSOD about my video driver dll... (Latest nvidia official)

Reinstalling my pc today. Thank you war! i surrender! :worthy:

I actually tracked my problem down to my ISP. They are prioritizing/shaping traffic for non standard ports.

One of my friends mentioned it and I tested various ports. port 80 I got 1.8M downstream, port 8095 I got 0.1M downstream.

I've reported the problem to my ISP asking them to allow through the WAR ports unshapped.
