Cant load 1 Character

having a problem with just 1 char on my hib/pryd account (all others load fine).

emailed costumer services and they said i need to delete this characters .ini file in the games directory...cant find this file for love nor money....anyone help?....just some simple directions to it would be great

all the screenlayouts and quickbars and chatcolour options etc are stored in the .ini files they are talking about, so it sounds like they think its corrupt!

if you go into the directory you installed daoc in (e.g. C:\Mythic\Daoc) there should be the files there

it would be easier to chose "Tools" then "Folder Options" and then chose the "View" tab and uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types"

you can always check the box again afterwards, but that shows you the file extension so you know you have the right file!

now you should see Charactername-33.ini , the number changes for whichever server you play on - 33 would be excalibur!

you might want to make a copy of the file to the desktop or my documents before you delete it, just incase deleting it doesnt help your problem - but the next time you load the character a new file will be created because it cannot find an existing one!
