Cant get into BW8!!! HEEEEELLP

Hallo everyone

I have downloaded Half life 1.1.0.8 patch thingy, and cs 1.3 mod (full), but i cant get into BW servers. I can play 1.3 when i go to quickstart in cs menu though, and i go to some other unknown server. But i want to play on BW8, my favourite server with all my mates

when i try to go into BW8 (or any bw server.. demon servers also) through gamespy, i get the following messeage:

This server is using a newer protocol (43) than your protocol (45) try checking your client for updates..

or something like that anyway. But i have all updates ffs. i have cs 1.3 full install and half life full update also. what do i need to do?? PLEASE HELP.. THX

BW8 is down at the moment, maybe it's being updated.
Give it a try later tonight.

But as you can't join any server at all, it looks like the patch didn't work properly. You could reinstall halflife, and use the full patch to try again.

I have tried reinstalling everything.. to no avail.. still same thing happens. Interestingly, i got the ip add of bw 8 server and entered it into the cs menu.. in playing online option.. and i got into BW 8.

But its a nuisance having to do that all the time. i would much rather go through gamespy. any ideas anyone?

Thats pretty fucked.

I would say re d/l the HL pacth, try again, if that doesnt work re d/l the cs one as well.

looks like you have a corrupt patch, or an unofficial one.

The patch cant be unnoficial, as i dowloaded all patches from barrysworld itself. and they cant be corrupt as they installed just fine. and i can play cs through cs itself without using gamespy. its only when i try to get into the server using gamespy that i get the above message in the console just below the WON authentication.

Is it possible that you've got two versions of tfc on your pc?

Cos maybe gamespy is loading a different version to the one that you are loading to get into the counterstrike menus.
