can't connect

been playing cs for past couple of months ok, downloaded version 1.1.0.8 by auto update now can't logg on to any servers, error message reads [cl_dlls\client.dll] differs from the server.. someone please tell me how to get back online

ive got retail version, and downloaded version 1.1.0.8 do i have to download version 1.3 as well, i thought that was just for mod

hmm dont u want to get 10021003.exe not 1.1.0.8

Ive got reatil, and yes you need the 1.3 patch, but make sure you get the RETAIL patch and not the mod one, its about 46megs i reckon.
Youll also need the sprite fix for Survivor and the new Inferno map. Ch3tan has put up the link on another thread, in fact here it is


Dunno if it works, cos I got a fix from Nextwishes webby which definatley DOES work.

You didnt close the link, there was no need to do the bit yourself it does it automatically :) But for future reference you have to close with , if you insist doing i yourself that is.

Anyway reiper you need the cs1002 -1003 patch.

As you installed 1108 over your existing install you will have to uninstall, reinstall cs. If you already ahve the 1002 upgrade use that, then use the 46 meg 1003 pacth, if you dont get teh 1003 full patch.
