cant connect to daoc

ok, im loggging on to daoc and it gets to main front screen

connecting
loading.......
open socket thingy
Connecting to service.....

at this point it just hangs

tryed un install reinstall re patch thingy but still say problem

any ideas.

Firewall?
If it's hanging at the connecting to socket stage, I'm guessing that your firewall isn't allowing the game.dll to access the net as it's a changed program.

My firewall has to allow

login.dll
game.dll
patch.bin

best to check your firewall ruleset for outbound access

i have never had any problems before and ive been using the same firewall since the beggining of daoc.

its not the socket bit its the bit after it says connecting to server... then hangs

def firewall prob imo... try closing your firewall down altogether just to see if is the firewall causing it

Set your firewall to open (Allow all access or disable it) if it then connects to daoc you know its a firewall ruleset problem

problem is my firewall is inside my router for adsl so im kinda stuck there
