Actually, she's on the TOP of the coin. Lay a £1 coin down so that the riting around the edge is th right way up, and the queen (godblesshersoul) is facing up. Although Sissyfoo is actually right, she is technically on the front (primary side) of the coin.

Whaaa?

The writing on a pound coin can only be the right way up with the queen facing upwards! Therefore, logically, this would be the front face of the coin. The value of the coin would therefore be the back of the coin.
