hi,

here is the deal. atm I live in south east asia. will be living here few months ahead due my work. I got two choises. Enjoy the beutiful weather, go to the beach and enjoy this countries culture.....or play DAOC.

Choise is obvious so here is my problem....

2 days ago I changed ISP. To a bether one. it works great. Fast smooth. I can play Lineage 2 without any what so ever problem, but it sucks so I dont wanna play it :p

Here is what happens:

I log on and can stay loged as long as I want most of the time at least as long as I dont move. If I port, jump on horse, start casting etc, use the damn coin to teleport in housing zones etc. I go link dead. You know, get that page up and have to press ESC.

BUT, I tried to log on ALL servers, onlyone I dont crash in is Logres. I bloody got to level 12 and got bored. But it dont crash and dont kick me off there.

So, what is the problem? I had two morrons from my ISP here all day and they tried to blame it on firewall, my router, my PC and I think they even tried to blame me as person :twak:

Any help? Advice? btw I tried with alot of diffrent accounts, used my brothers, my own and a friends. Same shit!

Go to the properties of your network card and disable the option for Hardware Checksumming or Checksum Offload.
That usually sorts the problem.

With packet loss (which shows up as errors on pingplotter, if that is enabled, which isn't default, there will usually be a router at which there is suddenly a large increase in errors, which is where the problem will be.

Can post it here for advice from people if not sure.

That's a lot of packetloss !

Where that sudden increase in packetloss appears will be the most likely cause of the problem. Packetloss after that is quite likely to be just packets getting lost near that router on their way to or from the one you're measuring.

It would appear that singtel.com is having problems. You can either contact them at their website to let them know (http://welcome.singtel.com/customer_service/), or could try getting your Isp to contact them. These things normally go better if you say "I think you've got some problems and I've been gathering some information to help narrow the problem down" (ie pingplotter), than expressing disatisfaction with their service. It's to their advantage to sort out bottlenecks and failing hardware too, and it's hard to do that without information.
