Can a caster w/o speed solo well rvr?

Plz give opinion, I argue with a good friend about it, he´s mana chanter with highest rps among same class (ya know who he is now)

My statement: Every highest rp earner till now is soloers with stealth or speed (Alpha, Eleasias, Veeshan), no class w/o speed/stealth can solo since he told m that I can just solo as well as him coz I´ve got a 15 sec mez.

IMO u can catch ppl in surprise, but surprise = elf inc NE, damn sprint + highest secondary speed run is fast! ffs stunned, damn died. Surprise != elf inc NE, rofl no speed, come on catch me, I´ll sprint ahead urs and u will never catch me (if he doesn´t decide to kill u). And of course if u find a group of invaders w/o speed u r highly likely to run away with speed then w/o.

Give opinions and tnx, wanna know if I´m right, I can solo in a zerg (without getting any rp since everybody runs ahead mine, but no way smoothly out of frontier w/o speed.

Group is the best way, but u can´t always find some group.

The question is: do u really tnk a caster type without speed can solo r vs r as good as some with speed?

No, we need speed to solo, or else a fixed battle, like a keep or wall battle.

The only other way is to go into their frontiers and catch expers pulling / not looking out for invaders, or walking 10 steps out of DL and hope you are lucky and get a stealther who is sucky enough that you can kill them.

Of course Last time I did that, I managed to kill one minstrel, was typing in /gu "I just soloed a minstrel " then got mezzed and killed by another one

Yip, I can see how it could be hard for an eldie/ment to solo in RvR. The only one I know who can do it well on Hib/Prydwen is Cornell, but he is insane

Ench speed spell is handy, and comined with the pet for disruption, I feel it is alot easier to solo than the other 2 classes.

Of course, you do get the occasional gimped players who are easy to kill solo, even in groups.

Me going solo in RvR:

"Look i can catch you with my uber-speed 5"
"Look i can mezz you with my uber 1:10 min mezz"
"Look now i have to call in the cavalry to kill you, because i cant even solo a green "

Soling wo speed or stealth is impossible for a Hib, period.

Btw I hardly think running ungrouped with the zerg can be labeled "Soloing"

You can solo ok with no stealth or speed you just have to use different tactics. Hide at side of well travelled path (atk to amg fr one). Up a hill is good cos a lot of people wont notice u from the camera angle they have as they run past, then when an easy target comes past run down hill so u pop up behind them and stun, then kill and run off and hide somewhere else. Don't last long tho this way as a stealther will probably hunt u down after first kill but it's damn fun to see the surprised alb wonder where tf did that elf in a dress just come from

About eld with aoe-mez soloing as easy as chanter with speed I already said was a bit over :-p but still I keep my point that it is possible for mana eld to solo. It is just a bit harder and needs different tactics.

Going along with zerg or anyone else involving in battle isn't pure soloing yes and my RPs is about 35% pure soloing then and all soloing about 80% and those numbers are really ROUGHLY pointing direction .

As you state, noone of the top-rp people perhaps with exception for alpha is soloing much. Staying ungrouped and killing people by hitting them in the back while they let others do the fighting and dying for them is the way most of these "soloers" play. At least from the other realms, i dont fight hibs :-. To do actual soloing is hard in this game and without stealth/speed you can only do it in sparesely populated areas/off prime time.

Btw no point in soloing anymore really, after they fixed the rp's in grps it just don't pay of to solo anymore. And u don't really stubble on any other soloer's from other realms besides SBs, Infils and minstrels really, and not much u can do when standing face to face with one of these classes when soloing.
And if u can't find any grps i'd rather play an alt and come back later hoping to find a grp.
